COVID-19 Updates

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to disrupt our lives in so many ways, all of us at Nova Eye Care Center want you to know that we are here to support and take care of you and your eyes. We will always put your health and our staff's health and safety first. We are currently working with less staff than usual due to COVID-19 restrictions. We will return all phone messages and emails as soon as we can, please be patient with us.

On May 15, 2021, the CDC and Governor Ralph Northam lifted the universal mask requirement by no longer requiring that fully vaccinated individuals wear masks in all indoor public settings. However, we are a healthcare facility and are one of the exceptions to this rule. All patients and staff in our office will be required to wear a mask. Our other COVID-19 protocols will remain the same.

Safe Social Distancing for Our Patients and Staff

In order to provide a safe environment for our patients and staff, we will be implementing the following rules:

  • All patients must come alone to their appointment.

  • Patients who are a minor or who need a caretaker are allowed one caretake or guardian to accompany them to an exam.

  • All other visitors will be asked to wait in the car or outside.

  • All patients and their visitors will be registered for COVD-19 contact tracing purposes. No HIPAA information will be released without your consent.

  • If you are sick (fever, coughing, sneezing, have a runny nose) even if you think it is allergies, please reschedule your appointment. We will waive the late cancelation fee.
