Health insurance plans or medical insurance will cover for a visit to see an optometrist for an eye exam when necessary. At our office, you will receive a complete and thorough medical examination of the health of your eyes. The examination will also include a measurement and prescription for eyeglasses. Some plans, especially HMO's, require a referral from your primary care doctor in order to see an optometrist. Please do so prior to your appointment.

Vision plans are mainly intended to provide coverage for eyeglasses and/or contact lenses. These plans also cover for a routine examination when not covered by your medical insurance.

Nova Eye Care Center will bill your health insurance plan for medical examination of your eyes and bill your vision plan for routine examination. You will be given a prescription for glasses and/or contact lenses that can be taken to an Optical or eyeglass store of your choosing.
